Today in the Library I had my intern review with my District and Supervising Librarian. We recapped what I learned when it came to reference, outreach, and circulation. I got positive feedback from each of my managers and they were super happy I was there. I got no negative feedback from either the staff or the Patrons. The staff commented that they were very happy to have me there and that I provided a great energy for the team. Given that I have only been there for a couple of months there is no feedback that I was given to improve on. One of my areas for improvement that I know I can improve on is just properly weeding the books using the crew method. So far I have been doing pretty good, but of course I can improve.
Busy day on reference today as I had over 14 patrons within 2 hours of working. Most of the help was finding books, helped with the DVD section, and then helped pull up some videos for a Patron that was looking for a movie. We are very lucky at our Library to have very nice welcoming Patrons. Seldom are there any issues and as of now there is only 1 person that is banned for some obscene things.
The rest of the day was working on a project that had to do with developing an outreach plan for the age of my choice. I am figuring out currently which age, what service, and how to structure the event. I have about a week to finish it and then I have to recommend a service for a library we do not currently have
