This was the last outreach I did for the Library and it took place on Halloween day. It was hectic and did not have time to take a team picture but I took a picture of the kids running around getting the candy. Our theme was the Wizard of Oz and I dressed as the tinman and we had the whole crew. My wife came out and helped us as well considering we had about 2000 kids and not even including the parents. Our goal was just to set up the Bookmobile and have our presence known. We were way to busy to hand out library cards and have kids check out books. We just wanted to represent the library at the local parks so hopefully parents remember to take there kids to the library.
We were super tired after and thought it was a great way for team building. We went through about 6 big boxes of candy and our arms were so tired. We were taking turns passing out kids as there was non-stop motion. I really feel blessed to be with such an amazing team and so happy I was able to serve along side this staff.
